Level Up: Swarmbytes by Honeygain

Updated: Feb 24

In the past years, the Honeygain community has become larger than we could have ever expected. We are thrilled that millions of users have found and joined us, making our team's main objective - to grow our users' potential earnings.

User earnings depend on the balance of demand and supply. Demand increases when Honeygain either onboards new business clients or when our current clients trust us with more traffic. The other side is traffic supply - grows thanks to our ever-increasing user community.

As of March 1st, 2021, we will separate our user community into two parts: Honeygain and Swarmbytes.

Honeygain will be dedicated to household users with less than 10 devices on their accounts - which is 99.99% of our current community.

Swarmbytes - was created by Honeygain for our large-scale users with 10+ IPs at their disposal. After passing the compliance checks, we will offer Swarmbytes users support of a personal Account Manager and q software suite to manage the infrastructure hassle-free.

Why is this introduced?

We are seeking to grow user earnings. This will only be possible if we balance traffic supply and increase traffic demand with new business clients.

After reviewing our userbase - we have listed user accounts with hundreds or even thousands of devices connected. Not only that it's difficult to explain how a single household user can obtain and have genuine consent for that many devices, but these users receive a disproportional amount of the overall traffic and impact earnings for an average Honeygain user. By splitting the user communities, traffic distribution will improve, resulting in better potential earnings for Honeygain users and more stable income for Swarmbytes users due to a fixed rate per IP shared.

On top of that, the change will build more trust with new and existing business clients because it will be easier to ensure that we have genuine consent for all resources shared within the Honeygain network.

How will this affect you?

If you had less than 10 active devices:

Nothing will change. You will remain a cool Honeygain user and can continue to use the app as you did before.

If you had more than 10 active devices:

On March 1st, 2021, the maximum number of gathering devices on a Honeygain account will be limited to 10 devices. You may continue to have more than 10 devices connected, but the infrastructure will only use a maximum of 10 concurrently active devices.

You will be eligible for a wholesale partner account on our Swarmbytes platform and receive an invitation letter to upgrade your account. After you accept, a personal Account Manager will contact you, guide you through the compliance check, and onboard you to our software suite.

We are confident this change will positively impact the overall traffic demand and result in higher earnings for the Honeygain community and ease management for new Swarmbytes members.

We are also hopeful, this will further limit traffic fraud and illicit activities on the Honeygain network, such as user pools, which in many instances ended-up in earning loss.

Thank you for being a part of the ever-growing Honeygain and Swarmbytes community!

The Honeygain team ❤️
